They Found a Bible Unharmed after Tornado. The Page It Was Open to? This Will Give You the Chills…

A huge tornado destroyed Hattiesburg, Mississippi just days ago. A Bible that should have been ripped to shreds in the high winds was found unharmed. Even more astounding is the page it was open to… Wow.

From Liftable:

It’s being described as a miracle. And, viewing the devastation left in the wake of last week’s powerful tornado, it’s hard to argue with that assessment.

Earlier this week, an EF-3 tornado ripped through Hattiesburg, Miss. At times, winds tore through the small town at 165 mph.

After the storm cleared, four people were dead and dozens were injured. A survey team confirmed at least 15 miles of “continuous tornado path,” and a state of emergency was declared.

William Carey University was not spared the tornado’s wrath. While no students suffered serious injuries, the campus itself experienced extensive damage.

Several historic buildings, including libraries and classrooms, were left in tatters. One campus building in particular, the Bass Chapel, was particularly ravaged.

The large stained-glass window that adorned the front of the building was shattered, leaving the chapel open to the gusting wind and pounding rain brought down by the tornado.

The storm gone, members of the university staff were finally able to enter the chapel. What they found inside moved, uplifted, and amazed them.

There, still upon the pulpit before the now glassless window, was a Bible. Shockingly, its pages were not torn. It had not blown about the room. In fact, one would never guess it had just survived a tornado.

Even more astounding:

The Bible was open to Psalm 46, which says:

1 God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
    and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
    and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
    the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
    God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
    he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see what the Lord has done,
    the desolations he has brought on the earth.
He makes wars cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields[d] with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.

AMAZING… When God wants to speak, he speaks! Loud and clear.
